The 16/2 -2010 I found out what the problem with my 8 years old Oldenborg mare was.For 2-3 months she was only giving me problems when we were riding, the problem was every time we tried to go right she raised up, the answer was found through x-rays.My mare, Malou , have Kissing Spine. Then what to do ? People told me there is no other way than operate, let her go on the field and don’t ride or let her die.All the stories I have read about had the same bad solutions, the horse must die - until : One day I found an article in a Danish riding magazine with a Danish horse with kissin spine which came back as a riding horse after a stay with the Schöneich.This was a really amasing story, almost to good to believe, however what else to do! There was no help in Denmark and I could not use my horse.
I talked with Klaus and he said to me that Malou had to stay with them for 8 weeks.The problem was not the kissing spine, but she was missing a lot of muscels.
Now after 7 weeks I am back here at the Schöneich and what they have done with my horse is amazing, her muscels in the back and neck is back and wow she looks good. I have now been riding 4-5 times and no problems at all.She is happy and I can now feel that she loves to work with me again.A completly different horse than for 7 weeks ago, and they have done a work that I could not even imagine was possible within 7 weeks.
